Legends Lounge Mail-In Card Buylist Policy
This policy applies to trading card collections submitted to Legends Lounge through our mail-in card buying program. By submitting a mail-in Sell Order and accepting this policy, you agree to the terms below.
1. Mail-In Eligibility and Minimum Shipment
Mail-In submissions must be reviewed and approved by Legends Lounge before shipment. Our prepaid Mail-In program is intended for collections estimated to contain at least 4 pounds of trading cards, approximately 1,000 standard trading cards. Card count is only an estimate because card type, sleeves, condition, and other factors can affect weight.
The 4-pound minimum is based on the seller's reasonable estimate when submitting the collection. A shipment does not become ineligible solely because some cards are rejected during preprocessing and the final accepted weight falls below 4 pounds.
2. What We Pay
Legends Lounge pays a minimum of $2.50 per pound for accepted qualifying cards. Payment is based on the actual weight of cards accepted during preprocessing, not the seller's estimated weight or card count.
Some collections may qualify for an additional payout after processing based on the cards' value, condition, demand, and other relevant factors. As of September 12, 2026, 90% of completed card purchases have received an additional payout. Past results do not guarantee an additional payout on future submissions.
3. Prepaid USPS Shipping
For approved Mail-In submissions, Legends Lounge provides and pays for a prepaid USPS shipping label. The seller is responsible for printing the provided label and using it only for the approved shipment. Legends Lounge may select the USPS service level appropriate for the shipment.
The shipping label is issued based on the collection and package information provided by the seller. Sellers should notify Legends Lounge before shipping if the package size, weight, number of packages, or other shipment details materially differ from the approved submission.
4. Packaging Requirements
The seller is responsible for packaging cards securely enough to withstand normal carrier handling. Cards should be packed so they cannot move excessively inside the package. Paper, packing paper, bubble wrap, cardboard, card storage boxes, or other appropriate protective material should be used as needed.
Do not leave significant empty space that allows card boxes, binders, or loose cards to shift during transit. Heavy card boxes should be reinforced appropriately.
Cards that arrive damaged because of inadequate or improper packaging may be rejected and may be returned to the seller.
5. Shipping Damage and Carrier Responsibility
Once a properly prepared shipment has been accepted by the shipping carrier, carrier handling is outside Legends Lounge's direct control. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Legends Lounge is not responsible for loss or damage caused by USPS or another shipping carrier.
This provision does not limit any rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived.
6. Receiving and Preprocessing
After a shipment is received, Legends Lounge performs an initial preprocessing review. This may include:
- Checking the shipment and cards for damage.
- Identifying cards or materials that cannot be accepted.
- Separating rejected cards from accepted cards.
- Weighing the accepted cards.
- Calculating the initial payment based on accepted qualifying weight.
Legends Lounge targets issuing the initial payment within 1 business day after receipt and preprocessing. This is a processing target rather than an absolute guarantee. Holidays, unusually high submission volume, shipment discrepancies, ownership concerns, or other circumstances may require additional time. Legends Lounge will communicate material delays when reasonably possible.
7. Initial Payment
The initial payment is based on the accepted qualifying card weight at a minimum rate of $2.50 per pound. Rejected cards and other non-qualifying materials are not included in the accepted weight.
Mail-In sellers may select Zelle, Cash App, or Venmo as their preferred payment method during submission. Legends Lounge does not request the seller's actual payment account information on the initial public submission form. The information necessary to send payment will be collected separately after the submission is approved.
8. Additional Payout Review
After the initial payment, Legends Lounge continues processing the accepted collection. If the collection contains cards that qualify for additional value, an additional payment may be issued.
Additional payout review is typically completed within 5 business days after preprocessing. This timeframe may be extended during unusually high processing volume or when a collection requires additional review. If a material delay occurs, Legends Lounge will make a reasonable effort to communicate the updated status.
Legends Lounge will contact the seller when processing is complete whether or not an additional payout is due.
9. Rejected Cards
Cards may be rejected because of severe damage, authenticity concerns, non-qualifying material, prohibited or unapproved contents, or other conditions that make them unsuitable for the program. Rejected cards do not count toward accepted weight and are not included in the $2.50-per-pound payment calculation.
If rejected cards need to be returned under ordinary circumstances, the seller is responsible for reasonable return shipping costs unless the return is required because of an error by Legends Lounge. Any applicable return shipping charge will be communicated before the return is arranged.
Legends Lounge will not intentionally dispose of rejected property without the seller's authorization or another lawful basis. If a seller does not respond regarding rejected property, Legends Lounge may hold the property while making reasonable attempts to contact the seller. Property remaining unclaimed for an extended period will be handled in accordance with applicable law.
10. Authenticity and Non-Genuine Cards
Counterfeit, proxy, reproduction, or otherwise non-genuine cards do not qualify for payment as genuine trading cards and may be rejected. If authenticity cannot reasonably be determined during preprocessing, payment or processing for the affected cards may be delayed while they are reviewed.
If Legends Lounge reasonably suspects that submitted property is stolen, fraudulent, or otherwise connected to unlawful activity, we may pause the transaction, request additional information or proof of ownership, and cooperate with law enforcement or other authorities when required or appropriate under applicable law.
11. Ownership and Authority to Sell
The seller must be the lawful owner of the submitted cards or have legal authority from the lawful owner to sell them. The seller must confirm this before submitting a Sell Order.
If a seller submits property that they do not have the legal right to sell, the seller may be responsible for reasonable shipping, return, recovery, and other costs incurred in returning the property to its lawful owner or otherwise resolving the matter, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
12. Age Requirement
Sellers must be at least 18 years old to submit cards directly through the program. A parent or legal guardian must submit or authorize a transaction on behalf of a minor.
13. Sealed Products
The standard Mail-In Card Buylist Program is intended for singles, collections, and qualifying bulk cards. Do not include sealed trading card products unless Legends Lounge has specifically approved them before shipment.
Legends Lounge generally does not purchase sealed product unless we already have an established relationship with the seller, and even then we may decline sealed product. Our normal sealed inventory is sourced through authorized distributors.
14. Seller Information and Shipment Accuracy
The seller is responsible for providing accurate contact, shipment, and collection information. A seller should contact Legends Lounge before shipping if important details change after approval.
Prepaid shipping labels may not be transferred to another person or used to ship unrelated goods.
15. Required Agreements
Before submitting a Mail-In Sell Order, the seller must acknowledge that:
- They are the lawful owner of the cards or have legal authority from the owner to sell them.
- Legends Lounge pays a minimum of $2.50 per pound for accepted qualifying cards.
- Any additional payout after processing is not guaranteed.
- They are responsible for securely packaging the shipment.
- Legends Lounge is not responsible for carrier-caused shipping damage except where required by applicable law.
- They have read and agree to this Mail-In Card Buylist Policy.
16. Policy Updates
Legends Lounge may update this policy as the Mail-In program evolves. The policy accepted when a Sell Order is submitted will govern that submission unless the seller and Legends Lounge agree otherwise or applicable law requires a different result.
